Yesterday, we didn’t just work—we also chopped vegetables, cooked, and laughed together. Under the theme “Staying Fit Throughout the Workday,” we had the opportunity to participate in a cooking workshop with AOK that showed us that healthy eating doesn’t have to be boring at all.

The focus was on practical tips for everyday life: How can you easily incorporate healthy meals into your workday? Which ingredients provide energy for long workdays? And how can you eat a balanced diet without sacrificing enjoyment? The answers to these questions were not only explained but also prepared together on the spot.

It quickly became clear that the best recipes aren’t just made up of good ingredients, but also a healthy dose of team spirit. While everyone was chopping, stirring, and seasoning, many interesting conversations arose that went beyond day-to-day business. Colleagues exchanged ideas, got to know each other even better, and enjoyed their time together in a relaxed atmosphere.

Of course, it wasn’t all completely tear-free. A tear or two was indeed shed—but not because of complicated recipes or failed cooking attempts, but for the classic reason: onions.

Despite the small group, it became clear once again just how valuable these kinds of shared activities are. They create space for personal conversations, strengthen team spirit, and help colleagues come together even more as a team.

In the end, not only was there a delicious meal on the table, but also the realization that healthy eating, fun, and team-building go together perfectly.

A heartfelt thank you to AOK for the successful workshop and to all participants for the great atmosphere. We’re taking many ideas, recipes, and wonderful memories back with us to our daily work.

And at the next cooking workshop, we’ll be better prepared for the onions. 😉
